The Spokesperson for the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kofi Asare Brako says the Sports Ministry has already issued out tickets to all the foreign-based players invited to join the Black Meteors camp ahead of the AFCON U-23 Cup of Nations.

Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko has invited about 12 foreign based players to augment his squad ahead of the tournament but according to our checks just a few players have arrived in camp.

Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports with Ohene Bampoh Brenya, he said, “ The Ministry has already issued out tickets to the foreign based players invited by Ibrahim Tanko.

“We are expecting them to arrive by close of this weekend before they embark on their eight- day training camp in Egypt before the tournament starts.

He also revealed that earlier reports indicating that the Sports Ministry owes the players who purchased their own tickets to Ghana for the Algeria game which is not true.

“We have paid all the players monies owed them. We expect them to get their monies when they get to Ghana because most of them are outside”.

The Black Meteors is expected to leave the shores of Ghana on 4th November, 2019 to Egypt.

Ghana will play Cameroon on 8th November, 2019 at the Cairo International Sports Stadium.
