#AfconHub2021: Communication is not the problem – Coach Milo on Black Stars flaws

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has resounded that, communication between him, the coaching stuff, and the players are very much in order.

However, he bemoaned that, the team lacked the ability and a caliber of player like Asamoah Gyan, former Black Stars captain.

During Coach Milo’s first spell with the Black Stars, Gyan strived and led the team to bronze in the 2010 AFCON as well as qualifying for the quarter-finals stage in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Meanwhile, the team has failed to record a win in their opening two games of the ongoing AFCON tournament in Cameroon upon his second spell. While most Ghanaians have been unconvinced with the performances of the Stars.

Speaking ahead of Ghana’s last group game against Comoros, the Serbian admits the current state of the team cannot be compared to his previous crop of players.

“Communication is not the problem and they understand me very well. We just didn’t have enough time to prepare the team. We don’t have the same team as in 2010 and not enough time to prepare the players. We don’t have a player like Asamoah Gyan as well. Sadly, we need to do something on short notice. I’m trying to implement these things and we’re on the right path. We lost the first game in AFCON 2010. We will definitely improve, he said in the press conference.
