Happy Sports and YFM assembled Ghanaians from far and wide at the Legon City Mall on Thursday, January 18, 2023, for mass support ahead of the African Cup Of Nations football match between Ghana and Egypt.

The heightened spirits of supporters accompanied by the looped ‘jama’ chorus of an energetic youth, railed in by the cheers of GMABC staff ahead of the match.

According to a pre-match analysis made by YFM Sports Anchor, Nana Yaw Osae, the Black Stars were standing against a batch of Egyptian players they could face. “Ghanaians have never lost a second match in the African Cup Of Nations since 1992 and I’m hoping that history will guide us; The Egyptians have not been the same Egyptians who won in 2010; we are hopeful.”

Students from University of Ghana Legon, University of Professional Studies, Accra Technical University, and University of Media, Arts and Communication(UNIMAC), came in their numbers to witness the exuberant showdown between Ghana’s National team and Egypt.

Director of GMABC; Timothy Karikari stated, “It is our duty to support our nation’s football team; I believe this duty is for every Ghanaian that’s why we have provided the platform for all to give their full support.”

Partners of the live coverage event include, YTV, Global Media Alliance, Perception Management International, Electroland Ghana Limited, Samsung, Yango, Soccabet, Guinness, and Bel Beverages.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw with Egypt and leaves Ghana with a final attempt with Mozambique scheduled for Monday, January 22, 2023 to stay in the AFCON tournament.
