Asamoah Gyan on coaching duty roles against Ebusua Dwarfs

Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities have been hit with another setback as legendary Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan has picked up an injury.

The 34-year old has been ruled out of action for two weeks which was confirmed by the club’s head coach Bashiru Hayford.

The Royals suffered another defeat at home to Ebusua Dwarfs in matchday six at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The result leaves them bottom on the league table with one point.

Gyan who joined the club in a big-money move on transfer deadline day is yet to impress as he continues to battle with his fitness level.

Speaking at the post-match conference Bashiru Hayford said “He’s injured he can’t play. He went to the physio and he has been given two weeks that he cannot kick a ball,”.

The all-time leading top scorer for the Black Stars will miss the Premier League games against Liberty Professionals and WAFA on matchday seven and eight respectively.

Legon Cities are still without a win in the ongoing campaign.
