Information reaching Happy Sports indicates that Asante Kotoko patron Mr Assad Mallah is dead.
The former football administrator passed on today in Accra.
Mr Assad during his time with the club was the Special adviser to Yaw Bawuah then Chief Executive Officer when the team won the Africa Champions League in 1983.
Asante Kotoko defeated Egyptian giants Al Ahly by a lone goal in that Cup final at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Details for his burial will be communicated to the public according to a spokesperson from the family.
