Asante Kotoko Supporters donate to fan involved in shooting incident

Asante Kotoko Supporters Chief Christopher Damenya has offered to set up a business for the Kotoko supporter Augustine Oppong, who lost his eye in the shooting incident at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium set up a business to take care of his family.

The Asante Kotoko Supporters Group were at the residence of Augustine Oppong to offer their support as well console with him.

Oppong lost an eye in that shooting incident which took place at the Baba Yara Sports after Asante Kotoko’s game against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League. Kotoko lost the game by a lone goal.

Oppong a driver by profession was shot by a Police Officer and was taken to the hospital where he was operated on.
Happy Sports understands that three bullets were taken out of his head during the surgery leading to him eye sight getting damage.

Host of Happy Sports Ohene Bampoh-Brenya was with the Asante Kotoko Supporters team during the presentation of items to the victim.

Asante Kotoko Supporters Chief Christopher Damenya paid the cost of hospital bills of Oppong and also offered to secure him a job to take care of his family.

“We are going to ensure that you will get something to do to support your wife so the pressure will not be on the family”.

“For now we know you can’t drive anymore so we will see what can be done to help you support your family”, he indicated.
