The Asantehene, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is set to present a comprehensive report and recommendations on the mediation efforts in the Bawku conflict to President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
According to a communication issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Spokesperson to the President, the presentation will take place at the Presidency at 4 p.m.
The Asantehene was tasked with leading high-level mediation engagements aimed at restoring peace and stability in Bawku, a community that has long been plagued by sporadic clashes and tensions.
The upcoming presentation marks a significant step in the peace-building process, as government prepares to receive the outcomes of the traditional leader’s consultations and proposed pathways to lasting peace.
The report is expected to guide future interventions and shape a coordinated approach to resolving the conflict.
