AshantiGold defender Kwadwo Amoako happy to earn Black Stars call up

AshantiGold defender Kwadwo Amoako has expressed his delight after earning a call up to the Black Stars ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.

The right back was named among the four local based players, Richard Attah (Hearts), Habib Mohammed (Asante Kotoko), Yahaya Mohammed (Aduana Stars) in the Black Stars squad for the double header which will be played later this month with the first leg at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Speaking to Happy Sports on his debut call up to the senior national team, Amoako said, “I always hoped to play for the Black Stars and my dream has come true”.

“I always pray that I will have a good game in every match”

Amoako stated his hard work and determination has earn him this call up.

“Football there is no juju, it’s all about determination, hard work and training which has brought me this far”.

He added that his performance will ensure whether if he becomes a regular member of the team.

“I was expecting this call up because of the performance I was exhibiting”

“It will all depend on my hard work if I can fight a position when the time comes”.
