AUDIO: "Obour should have been scolded for the GH¢2 million MUSIGA proposal he wrote" – Da' Hammer declares

Veteran music producer Da’ Hammer has waded into the ‘missing’ GH¢2 million Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) fund- which was supposed to be used for research according to president of the association, Bice Osei Kuffour.
Speaking to Dr Cann on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, Da’ Hammer insisted that Bice Kuffour, who is known in the music circles as Obour should be have been chided in respect to the proposal he presented for the money.
“Maybe we should have scolded Obour for the proposal he wrote. He should have covered our industry problems either than how much our music made to GDP,” he told Happy FM.
“Maybe if he wrote to solve the problems in our music, they may not have given the money to him. Unless the government realize it could have an opportunity to see what the art industry is doing for the economy.”
Answering a question on whether musicians and the creative art industry profited from the money used for the research, he answered, “For that one we must sit Obour down for him to do a presentation for us to know what the research has done, because I am not previewed to that information.”
The controversial GH¢2 million was allocated to the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) by the former ruling government to improve the music industry.
Meanwhile, Obour has been faced with incessant criticisms by some entertainment players over the GH¢2 million research money – with many believing that he has squandered the money.
According to most industry players, the money could have been used to salvage the problems facing Ghana music, rather than research into our music.
