The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor has commended the security services in her constituency for their continuous support and collaboration in maintaining peace and security.

Speaking to the media after a visit to the various security agencies, the MP said the purpose of the visit was to engage the services on their preparedness for the Christmas and New Year festivities and to understand how her office could support the implementation of their security plans.

According to her, the security agencies briefed her on a number of operational strategies they have put in place to ensure safety during the festive season, expressing confidence that the plans will contribute to the overall security of residents.

As part of the visit, Madam Okunor made a donation of 1,285 bags of five-kilogram rice to the various security services in the constituency.

She explained that the gesture was to show appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the officers over the years.

In addition to the food items, she also donated fuel to support the day-to-day operations of the security agencies, noting that mobility is critical to their work, whether through patrol vehicles or motorbikes.

She assured the security services of her continued support, stating that her office will intensify efforts in the coming year to provide assistance in other key areas to enhance their operational capacity.

Madam Okunor reiterated her commitment to working closely with the security agencies to ensure peace, safety and development in the Awutu Senya East Constituency.
