Ayalolo cluster of schools gets new dining facility

Pupils of the Ayalolo Cluster of Schools in the Accra Metropolis will now enjoy improved dining conditions following the commissioning and handing over of a newly constructed dining shed to support the school feeding programme.

The project, sponsored by the Danish Children’s Fund in collaboration with the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) School, Hansen Road, was officially commissioned at a ceremony held at the school premises on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

The facility was handed over to the Accra Metropolitan Education Directorate on behalf of the schools.

Madam Justine Ivy Apawu, Metro Director of Education, received the project, assisted by Madam Fidelia Akua Nyarko Sarfo, SISO for Ayalolo Circuit 14.

Madam Apawu commended the sponsors for their support, describing the dining shed as “a much-needed intervention that will enhance the welfare of pupils in the Ayalolo Cluster of Schools.”

She also urged the pupils and school authorities to maintain the facility to ensure its longevity and called for more intracultural support for the school.

According to Henry Permington Quaye, Headmaster of the Seventh-day Adventist School, the facility will not only provide a conducive space for pupils to have their meals but will also improve sanitation and general discipline during dining hours.

Elizabeth Acheampong, Head Teacher of Akoto Lamptey Basic School within the cluster, expressed appreciation to the donors, adding that the new dining shed would significantly improve the school’s feeding programme and the overall learning environment.
