Starting March 1,2024, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) has raised the balance and transaction limits for mobile money wallets of customers.

According to the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, this adjustment aligns with the growing transactional activities and changing customer demands.

Regarding daily transaction limits, the minimum account, previously capped at GH¢2,000, has been raised to GH¢3,000, while the medium account, previously limited to GH¢10,000, has been expanded to GH¢15,000.

Similarly, the enhanced account, previously set at GH¢15,000, has now been elevated to GH¢25,000 daily.

For maximum accounts, the minimum account, previously capped at GH¢3,000, has been raised to GH¢5,000.

The medium accounts, previously limited to GH¢25,000, now have an increased cap of GH¢40,000. Enhanced accounts, previously set at GH¢50,000, have been elevated to GH¢75,000.

Regarding monthly transaction limits, the minimum account, previously limited to GH¢6,000, has been increased to GH¢10,000.

The medium and enhanced accounts remain unchanged with no limits on the value of monthly transactions.

“Kindly reach out to the personnel of our members at any of their customer service centers across the country, for any clarification you may need”, the statement concluded.
