Former Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Ghana Athletics Association, Bawa Fuseini has been voted as the President of the Association for the next four years.

EXCLUSIVE: Bawah Fuseini has been voted as the new President of the Ghana Athletics Association(GAA).

The GA’s elective Congress was held at Techiman in the Bono region.

He was elected during its Elective Congress in Techiman on Thursday, August 10.

All the 50 delegates at Congress voted for Fuseini to be at the wheel of affairs of Ghana Athletics from now till 2027.

Speaking to Happy FM’s reporter, Gabriel Obu, he said, “The task ahead of me is not an easy one but with the help of my four deputies we will accomplish it”.

Fuseini previously served as the General Secretary of the Ghana Athletics.

He will be hoping the association will continue to chalk more successes under his administration with the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest the starting point.

At today’s Elective Congress, Charles Osei-Asibey, Andrew Agbo Kitcher, Comfort Selby Agyapong, and Zachariah Suleman Yeboah remained unopposed.
