The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has emphasized that the upcoming December elections present a crucial choice for Ghanaians.

Addressing constituents of Ablekuma North, South and West in Dansoman, Greater Accra on Monday, August 26, as part of his Greater Accra Regional tour, Dr. Bawumia stated that voters must decide between him, who is committed to taking Ghana to the next level, and John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who is seeking to regain power.

Dr. Bawumia highlighted the poor performance of Mr. Mahama’s previous government, citing economic crises, cancelled allowances for nursing and teacher trainees, shortages of essential school materials, electricity crises, and a collapsing health insurance system. He recalled Mr. Mahama’s own admission that his government had “chewed all the flesh, leaving only bones.”

In contrast, Dr. Bawumia showcased the NPP’s achievements since 2016, including free Senior High School education, restoration of allowances, road construction, and other initiatives. He urged Ghanaians to vote for the NPP to continue its good work, rather than risking a return to the crises of the past by electing the NDC.
