The Deputy General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed the Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is not a happy man over the way he is being slighted by the Finance Minister, who is a cousin of the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to the NDC’s Deputy scribe, the second most powerful gentleman is considering abandoning his post over the mistreatment being meted out to him by the family persons of the president.
He minces words to say the man feels being dumb by the president as the work he is supposed to be doing as the Head of the Economic Management Team are being executed by the Finance Minister and Gabby Otchere-Darko, also a cousin of the president.
Koku Anyidioho made this revelation on the Happy FM’s afternoon socio-political show dubbed ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ hosted Kwame Afrifa-Mensah in Accra.
He explained that the second gentleman of the land has been turned into an errant boy for the Finance Minister even though he claimed to be the financial whiz kid of the party during the 2016 elections.
He noted that if the Vice President has his own way he would have abandoned post in protest of the treatment being meted to him by members of the president’s immediate family.
It is these kinds of treatments that led to the powerful Vice president falling sick and had to be flown side for treatment he stressed.
He said the VEEP’s position has become more of a Trojan horse situation as the man has had enough of the position.
The man has been turned into an errant boy who does jobs meant for the Finance Minister when in actual fact the Vice president is the one to be directing the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta he argued.
