Black Queens leaves for Gabon

The Black Queens will begin their quest to qualify to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games when they take on Gabon on Wednesday August 28.

The first leg tie will be played in Libreville with the return scheduled for Tuesday, September 3 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The team started camping since August 7, preparing for the double header tie and hoping to make it to the next stage of the qualifiers to make their maiden appearance at the Olympic Games next year.

Three foreign based players have made it into the final squad making the trip. Portia Boakye and Priscilla Okyere, who were absent during the WAFU 2019 tournament in Ivory Coast, are part of the lists.

Whilst Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah, Philicity Asuako have earned their first call up , Elizabeth Owusuaa, has also made a return to the Squad.

Northern Ladies goalkeeper,Barikisu Isshaku has been dropped for Abigail Tawiah, Of Elmina Sea Lions.
