Head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton has given his assessment of striker Hafiz Konkoni after watching him train.
The Bechem United attacker is the only local player in the Black Stars squad for the AFCON qualifier against Madagascar this month.
Addressing the press on Tuesday ahead of the crucial Group E match, Coach Chris Hughton revealed that he has been impressed with the performance of Hafiz Konkoni.
“I was fortunate to watch him live last weekend. I have been able to watch him on video. I thought he did well today. It wasn’t a surprise because he is a player I have enjoyed watching. He is a young player so I think he has a lot of development still. Speaking to him I think he is quite a mature player for his age”.
Hafiz Konkoni will be
hoping to get the chance to play for the Black Stars in the upcoming clash.
Ghana takes on Madagascar on Sunday, June 18.
