The Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey has announced that the team will play a four-nation tournament in June 2025 in England.
According to Dr. Randy Abbey, the tournament will help the team prepare for the next FIFA World Cup qualifiers while serving as an opportunity for other players to prove themselves to the technical team.
He made this comment after Ghana’s 3-0 victory over Madagascar on matchday 6 of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“Fortunately, the technical team and management will have the opportunity to further work on the team because, in June, we don’t have qualifiers. So, we’re playing a four-nation friendly in England. And I’m sure it will be an opportunity for the coaches to do some further work on the team.”
“We’re hoping that some of the players who are injured will also be back and will be able to get an opportunity to play at least two games before September,” he said.
