Kenyan President William Ruto has condemned the death of Kenyan blogger, Albert Ojwang – reported to have died in police custody recently.
Ruto in a recent statement, speaking on Ojwang’s death, called it heartbreaking and unacceptable – being detained in western Kenya and later transferred over 250 kilometres to Nairobi without a court order, according to the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
The death of the Facebook and X blogger in custody has sparked national outrage and protests, marking a fresh flashpoint in ongoing concerns over police brutality in the country.
President Ruto has urged a prompt and transparent investigation.
