New Patriotic Party (NPP) national chairman hopeful Boakye Agyarko, has appealed to party delegates to prioritize unity and integrity as they prepare to cast their ballots in tomorrow’s presidential primary.

Addressing party delegates, Agyarko extended his New Year greetings and emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, describing it as a profound test of the party’s unity, an opportunity for renewal, and a defining moment for its future.

“The life of our party rests in our hands,” Agyarko said, urging delegates to act with discipline, fairness, and wholesome conduct throughout the day.

He emphasized the importance of choosing wisely and conducting themselves with dignity and integrity, stressing that the party’s strength lies in its unity.

Agyarko quoted a proverb, “The chief’s stool is not a bundle of firewood for two people to sit on simultaneously,” to underscore the fact that the election will produce one winner.

He urged all contestants to accept the outcome in good faith and to the winner, acknowledge the indispensable contributions of the other contestants.

“Our opponents will exploit any divisions, but together, we are unstoppable,” Agyarko warned, calling on party members to rally behind the winner and work towards building a brighter future for the country.

Agyarko’s address comes as the party prepares to elect its next flagbearer, with several prominent figures vying for the position. The party’s tradition of internal democracy and competitive politics is being put to the test as delegates gear up to cast their ballots tomorrow.
