As part of efforts to promote education and motivate academic excellence, the Bosome Freho District Education Directorate has rewarded twenty-three (23) students who excelled in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and are proceeding to senior high school.
Out of the total awardees, five students received certificates of honor along with cash prizes to support their senior high school education.
Speaking at a grand durbar held at Dunkura, the District Education Director, Michael Bruce, explained that the initiative aims to inspire other students across the district to prioritize education and strive for excellence.
According to him, such recognition will encourage students to study harder as they advance to the next stage of their academic journey. He also commended the former District Education Director, Mr. Solomon Owusu, for introducing the initiative to help identify and nurture the talents of students within the district.
The Chief Executive Officer of Bosome Freho Rural Bank, Paul Donkor, who provided financial support for the awards, expressed appreciation to the Education Directorate for sustaining the program. He pledged his continuous support to enhance educational development in the district.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho, Charles Appiah Kubi, also urged parents to guide their children to take their education seriously, emphasizing that education remains the key to a better future.
