Boxer Patrick Allotey granted GHC 100K bail

Boxer Patrick Allotey has been detained at the Ministries Police Station, Happy Sports can confirm.
The boxer made an appearance at the Police Station upon request of the Police Service to help carry out investigations into the matter.

Happy Sports understands that he has detained and transferred to the Regional headquarters.

Patrick Allotey assaulted a Kotoko fan last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The fan assaulted in the incident lodged a complaint at the Ministries Police Station in Accra on Tuesday.

The Police after tried to reach Patrick Allotey until he made an appearance on Thursday 30 January, 2020.

In an interview with the Ministries’ Police Commander, Superintendent Florence Owusu on Wamputu Sports on Happy FM , she confirmed that Patrick Allotey had reported to the station and has been detained”

“We went to his house today and we have been trying to reach him but to no avail. So we left a message behind for him to report to the station.

“If he doesn’t come to the Police Station we will keep searching for him, so we will urge the public to disclose his location to us, she added.

Patrick Allotey is set to face the Ghana Boxing Authority on 5 February, 2020 to answer questions on why his license shouldn’t be revoked after this incident
