Breaking News: NSA prevents ‘football people’ from using Accra Sports stadium for reform meeting

The National Sports Authority has prevented members of the Football fraternity the use of the Accra Sports stadium for the much-publicized meeting to discuss the Reforms of the Normalization Committee.

Berekum Chelsea General Manager, Oduro Sarfo, in an interview on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports said the NSA says the surprise move to stop them from using the stadium is a result of an order from above.

He stressed the NSA charged for the use of the Venue which has duly been paid, with receipts. “We paid GHC700 for the usage of the stadium facility today but authorities are saying they have gotten orders from above not to allow us to use the stadium facility. They have asked us to come back in the afternoon for a cheque. We won’t take any cheque because we gave them physical Cash and as such, we will take only cash.”

“I thought they built the stadium facilities to generate income so I don’t understand why someone will give orders saying we shouldn’t be allowed to use the facility,” he added.

He said the meeting has now been moved to the Osu Salem school hall, and due to start at 10am today August 20. “The stakeholders meeting with be held at the Presbyterian church. The place is spacious and air conditioners and fan. There are foods and drinks for everyone so people should come around.”
