Breakthrough for Ghana Premier League clubs as Sports Cul announces BUMPER m deal

Sports Cul, a sports and culture consortium have announced a bumber deal worth $44 million per year for Ghana Premier clubs as well as the Division One, Beach Soccer and Women football.
Communications Director for the firm, Kwaku Fosu Asare was however not keen on disclosing the name of the investors though he gave a lead that they were from the United Arab Emirates.
According to Dr. Asare, the deal was to help cushion the Premier League clubs and develop the game and infrastructure in the initial 3-year period of the deal.
In the mouth-watering deal, every registered Premier League player would be paid Ghc 2000 per month with the Division One players getting GHc 1000. The winner of the GPL will scooped a whooping $400,000 while the second placed team will take $300,000. Clubs that place 3rd and 4th will each receive $250,000.
“Sports Cul will pay every registered Premier League player GHc 2,000 while those at the Division One will each get GHc 1000. We will give the winner of the Premier League GHc 400,000 with the second taking home $300,000. The third and fourth will receive $250,000 each ” Dr. Fosu Asare told HappyGhana.com.
On their package for the media, Dr. Asare intimated that each year, Sports Cul would set aside $800,000 for their coverage of the league.
“We will set aside $800,000 for the media and it is expected to cover their transportation, feeding, accommodation and allowance for the coverage of Premier League games,” he noted.
The match officials were not left out as they have been billed to receive GHc 3,000 each every match day.
Director of Green Grass Technology, Frank Boahene who is in charge of infrastructure at Sports Cul added that  every Premier League Club will get two pitches which would be one astro turf and one natural turf.
Hearts of Oak’s Barima Attuahene is director in charge of operations while Nii Ayibonte II is a board member of Sports Cul.
