Known as Bukom Banku, Braimah Isaac Kamoko has declared the end of his boxing career, expressing a desire to pass on the legacy to his children.

The Ghanaian pugilist secured a bronze medal in the heavyweight category at the 1999 African Games, marking the genesis of his illustrious professional journey. With an impressive track record of 29 victories in 30 fights, his sole defeat occurred against Bastie Samir in October 2017.

In an interview with Okay FM, Bukom Banku said, “I’ve matured, and my eye is also bothering me, so I’ve decided not to step into the ring again. Three of my children are boxers, and I’ve bequeathed everything to them—my gloves, shoes, all of it. Abu Kamoko and Mustafa Kamoko, I’ve paved the way for them to carry on.”

Detailing his future endeavors, Bukom Banku disclosed his foray into comedy and event hosting. “I’ve bid farewell to boxing and am stepping into comedy and organizing solo shows,” he shared.

Bukom Banku’s boxing journey predominantly unfolded in Africa, notably Ghana, with a noteworthy triumph in the United Kingdom against Hungarian Ferenc Albert after three rounds in 2019.
