Former Asante Kotoko coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has been appointed as the new assistant coach of the Black Stars according to reports.
Charles Kwabena Akonnor is expected to take over from Ibrahim Tanko, who has been tasked to concentrate on the national U-23 side the Black Meteors of Ghana as they prepare for the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
Akonnor’s appointment is expected to be made official after Ghana’s double header against South Africa and Sao Tome.
He will be on the bench of the Black Stars in the upcoming AFCON matches against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe on November 14 and 18th respectively
