Head coach of Guinean football club Milo FC, Sylla Gaucher has expressed his thoughts and strategies ahead of their first-round clash with Dreams FC in the 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup qualifiers.

According to him, Milo FC, having participated in the competition last year, are no strangers to the challenges of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Coach Sylla Gaucher in an interview on Wamputu Sports, highlighted the significance of this experience, stating, “Our previous experience in the competition will serve as a valuable asset. We have learned lessons from our last campaign, and we are better prepared this time around.”

He acknowledged the abilities of Dreams FC, saying, “We respect Dreams FC and the journey they have undertaken to reach this stage. Their victory in the FA Cup demonstrates their quality, and we will not underestimate them.”

Milo FC will be aiming to build on their performance from the previous year and make a stronger impression in the competition. “Our goal is clear,” Coach Gaucher affirmed. “We are determined to progress further in the CAF Confederations Cup and make our mark on the continental stage.”

The first leg of the encounter between Milo FC and Dreams FC is scheduled to take place at Milo FC’s home ground.

Coach Gaucher acknowledged the significance of playing against a debutant team, saying, “Facing Dreams FC in their maiden continental campaign adds a sense of unpredictability. We will approach the match with focus and adaptability.”

The second leg of the fixture is set to occur a week later in Ghana.

The upcoming match against Dreams FC poses a unique challenge, as the Ghanaian team secured their place in the CAF Confederations Cup after a convincing victory over King Faisal in the 2023 MTN FA Cup final.
