The Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma- Aboagye has confirmed that, the cases of Cholera have risen up to fifty- six in Kasoa in the central region.
He revealed that a total of forty -six (46) patients are currently on admission and responding to treatment as the death toll still remains five (5).
Speaking to the media during a tour to some health facilities in Kasoa on Monday November 4, 2024, Dr. Kuma- Aboagye announced that, measures have been put in place for the treatment of cholera cases as facilities have set up treatment centers specially to treat cholera cases.
“No one should die from cholera, we have measures in place to cure cholera. Treatment centers has been set up for the treatment of cholera cases”.
He urged the public to keep their environment clean.
