The Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM) Ghana has announced its flagship national conference, CIHRM’26, scheduled to take place from 10th to 11th June 2026 at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, Accra.

Under the theme, “Advancing Human Resource Excellence in Ghana: Leadership, Technology and Governance,” the Conference is expected to attract over 800 participants from across the public and private sectors, including HR practitioners, Chief Executive Officers, policymakers, governance experts, technology innovators, business leaders and organizational development professionals.

The CIIHRM annual conference remains Ghana’s premier human resource management event and a strategic platform for thought leadership, professional development, policy dialogue and industry networking.

Speaking ahead of the Conference, the Chief Executive Officer of CIHRM Ghana, Dr. Francis Eduku (FCIHRM), said the future of organizational success will depend heavily on how institutions embrace leadership transformation, digital innovation and sound governance practices.

“Human Resource Management is no longer merely an administrative function; it has become a strategic contributor of organizational sustainability, competitiveness and national development.

CIHRM’26 will challenge organizations to rethink leadership, embrace technological transformation and strengthen governance systems to build future-ready institutions and employees,” Dr. Eduku stated.

He noted that the changing nature of work, accelerated by technology and artificial intelligence, requires HR professionals to reposition themselves as strategic players within organizations.

“The workplace is evolving at an unprecedented pace. Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation and shifting workforce expectations are redefining how organizations attract, select and retain top talent. HR professionals must therefore lead the charge in driving innovation, ethics and strategic foresight,” he added.

According to Dr. Eduku, the Conference will provide participants with practical insights into emerging global HR trends, workforce development strategies, organizational resilience and governance frameworks necessary for sustainable growth.

“CIHRM’26 is not just a conference; it is a national dialogue about the future of work in Ghana. It is an opportunity for business leaders, policymakers and HR practitioners to collaborate, share knowledge and develop actionable strategies that will strengthen organizations and improve productivity across sectors,” he emphasized.

The conference programme will feature high impact speakers, high-level panel discussions, exhibitions and strategic networking engagements designed to equip participants with innovative tools and tailor-made solutions to move organisations to the next level.

Key discussions will focus on transformational leadership, HR governance and compliance, employee engagement, organizational agility, talent management, workforce sustainability and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the future of work.

CIHRM Conference aligns with the institute’s broader mission of promoting professionalism, ethical leadership and excellence in human resource management practice in Ghana. Participants are expected from various sectors including banking and finance, telecommunications, education, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, public service and international development organizations.

CIHRM’26 promises to be an inspiring and impactful gathering that will shape conversations around leadership, technology and governance while advancing human resource excellence in Ghana and beyond.
