Frederick Ebo Hansen, a traveler who is in quarantine as a result of government directives to quarantine all arrivals at the kotoka International Airport (KIA) as a way to limit the number of imported Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic in the country has commended government for the way and manner they are being handled at their various hotel.

Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben with Kwame Afrifa-Mensah Ebo Hansen said “they took my temperature and test was conducted on me. They told me I’m ok so maybe tomorrow I will be released.”

He however, debunked claims that the military personnel maltreats them. “The military guys are friendly, very professional they will treat you very well if you are cooperative.”

Fredrick also revealed that the government makes available sufficient food, internet and anything we want. We are comfortable. We are not paying for anything we are told that everything we are enjoying whiles quarantined is at the cost of the state.”

“Honestly I was quite surprised with the way the government had handle things,” he added.

Air travelers who arrived in Ghana between Saturday and Sunday were mandatorily quarantined as the country takes stringent measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus which seems to be spreading rapidly.

Passengers from Liberia and other parts of the world who came with various airlines were picked up at the KIA and taken to a hotel for quarantine.

Some of these passengers were reported to have said that they were not informed about the likelihood of being quarantined upon arrival in Ghana.

The country is, therefore, putting in place tough measures to contain the virus and protect its citizens and other nationals living within its borders.
