Abigail Affum Yeboah, a Client Service Manager at Global Media Alliance (GMA) has shared her journey being in that position for the past three (3) years, and how fulfilling the journey has been.

Abigail speaks about how demanding the role can be, but incredibly rewarding. Customer service is about making an impact and seeing the positive results of your efforts.

“One of the aspects I love most about this job is the exposure and variety of people I encounter. Connecting with people from different companies and industries presents new challenges and opportunities to learn. Additionally, problem-solving and finding creative solutions to meet clients’ needs is both fulfilling and energizing,” she said.

Her background in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) has provided a solid foundation for this role. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and public speaking are essential. But it’s also about understanding customer retention strategies, creative problem-solving, and maintaining customer data confidentiality.

“One of my best experiences as a Client Service Manager was receiving heartfelt feedback from a client expressing appreciation for the team’s support. It’s moments like these that remind me of the positive impact we can make. Celebrating milestones with clients, like successful campaign completions, is always a highlight.”

She added, “Of course, there have been challenges. Trying to manage technical glitches that affect multiple clients can be frustrating. The pressure to quickly and effectively resolve these issues can be intense. However, through these difficulties, I’ve learned valuable lessons like empathy and resilience.”

As we continue to provide excellent customer service, Abigail is excited to see what the future holds. She feels honoured to be part of a team that makes a difference.
