Ghanaian musician and comedian, David Oscar has taken a swipe at some Ghanaian musicians for composing sexually suggestive songs.

In a post on Facebook, he condemned Edem, Kwabena Kwabena, Shatta Wale and Praye for composing songs such as ‘WMT’, ‘Tokro’, ‘Toto’ and ‘Gbang’ ‘Gbai’ respectively.

According to David Oscar, those songs lower womanhood.

While he commended Samini for composing dignifying songs such as “My Own” and “Obaa”.
He took a swipe at the others for churning out songs that do not offer any positive message for the youth.

“Whiles Samini is empowering the women… Singing “My Own” , “Maware Obaa” …. Other mpanyin Toto fuor are singing “womaametwe” , “Tokro abodwes3”, “Hustle for the Toto” and Gbang Gbang ……. Songs that clearly demean and sexualize womanhood and your argument is that sex sells? My argument is this …. They are shallow and perverse ….. Nothing deep to teach the youth, only 3twe and koti,” he posted on his Facebook page
