Happy FM’S supreme selector, DJ Advicer has set an outstanding record at the DJ Awards, winning two coveted awards.

DJ Advicer beat DJ Mic Smith,DJ Gang, DJ Milzy, DJ Ikon and Mr Shark to win Best Music Promoter of the Year. He also picked up the award for the Best Afrobeat/HipLife DJ of the Year on the same night.

Known in real life as Isaac De-Graft Danquah, DJ Advicer has made it his sole purpose to put the spotlight on the relatively unknown artistes.
It is no suprise he set the record by picking up his fourth award as Best Music Promoter of the Year on the night.

Speaking after the ceremony, enthused DJ Advicer said, ” I came here ready to support anyone who won in my category but I am very elated to have picked up these awards tonight. Though I have set the record for most awards won in a single category, Best Music Promoter of the Year, I believe we can still do more to promote fast rising artistes. Tonight is not about me, it is about us. There can be no DJ’s without musicians and no musicians without DJ’s.”

He also encouraged fellow DJs to keep supporting the music industry and lift Ghanaian music to the pinnacle it ought to be.

Programmes Manager of Happy FM, Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah commenting on the feat achieved by DJ Adviser said: “The kind of work done at Happy FM is to promote and support community engagement. It is no suprise DJ Adviser won in the categories he did. We encourage him to keep up the good work he has been doing. We will always support him.”

The Ghana DJ awards is organized annually to celebrate DJ’s in Ghana for their immense contribution to the Ghanaian music industry. This year’s awards took place at the Accra International Conference yesterday, November 2, 2019.

DJ Advicer’s show on Happy FM, ‘Ayekoo After Drive’, runs every weekday from 6PM – 9PM.
