Doctors at the Bokuruwa CHPS Compound in the Kwahu East District have expressed gratitude to Bokuruwa Future Leaders for donating medical equipment and sanitation items to support healthcare delivery in the community.
The donation was made during a brief ceremony held at the Bokuruwa CHPS Compound. The event brought together traditional authorities, community leaders, health workers, executives and members of the association.
Receiving the items on behalf of the facility, Auntie Theo, a midwife at the CHPS Compound, thanked the group for responding promptly to the needs of the health centre.
She made special mention of Raphael Adu for purchasing customized bedsheets immediately after the challenges were brought to his attention, and assured that all items would be properly maintained.
In an interview, the Secretary of Bokuruwa Future Leaders, Mrs. Beatrice Boahemaa Ansah, explained that the association is committed to supporting and developing Bokuruwa, particularly in the area of healthcare.
She noted that the items were procured based on specific needs identified by the nurses at the facility.
Items donated included customized bedsheets branded with the association’s logo, liquid soap, washing soap, mop buckets, sweeping brushes, and medical supplies such as a sphygmomanometer (blood pressure machine), thermometers, an examination bed, gloves, cotton, gauze, plaster, sutures, surgical blades, tissues, spirit, and bleach.
Traditional authorities present at the event commended the initiative. Nana Ofosu Ansong, Bokuruwa Sanaahene and Health Representative to the Bokuruwa Ahenfie, expressed appreciation to the association for its continuous support to the community.
Similarly, Nana Twerefour Boamah Ansong, representing Bokuruwahene Nana Obeng-Poku Tano II, encouraged members to live up to the name “Future Leaders” by sustaining development initiatives that improve the welfare of residents.
The donation is expected to enhance healthcare services at the CHPS Compound and improve sanitation standards for patients in Bokuruwa and surrounding communities.
