The Dormaa Central Constituency NDC parliamentary candidate, John Kwame Adu Jack, has criticized the absence of a government hospital in the constituency, attributing it to leadership shortcomings by former Health Minister and Dormaa Central MP, Kwaku Agyemang Manu.

He noted that despite serving as Health Minister for seven years, Agyemang Manu failed to secure the construction of a government hospital in Dormaa Ahenkro.

Adu Jack expressed concern that residents of the constituency continue to rely heavily on the Presbyterian Hospital, which he believes should have received government support to establish a dedicated accident and emergency unit. He highlighted instances where patients have been treated in chairs, calling this both unethical and a reflection of leadership failure in the constituency.

He also cast doubts on the completion of the current government’s Agenda 111 hospital project at Amasu, asserting that the initiative cannot be finalized within the next two months. Adu Jack assured that an NDC government under John Dramani Mahama would take over and complete the project if elected, ensuring continuity and development.

He emphasized that Mahama’s administration would finish all ongoing projects initiated by any government, enabling him, as MP, to complete the Agenda 111 project and enhance support for the existing health infrastructure.
