Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to rally behind her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the upcoming general elections.

She highlighted his leadership qualities, including integrity, intelligence, and a problem-solving mindset, as crucial for tackling the nation’s challenges and meeting the aspirations of the youth.

Speaking at the launch of a book organized by her Samira Bawumia Literacy Prize initiative in Accra on Monday, November 18, the Second Lady, expressed confidence in her husband’s capacity to address the nation’s challenges effectively.

“He has solutions to our problems. Dr. Bawumia is a very intelligent man. He is an honest man. He works very hard and applies himself, and this is a man bursting with ideas. He doesn’t always do the same things and expect different results” she said.

Samira Bawumia highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s innovative ideas and strong sense of responsibility as qualities that distinguish him as a leader poised to drive meaningful change.

She emphasized that his vision for Ghana focuses on creating opportunities for the youth and implementing sustainable solutions to the country’s challenges adding that, his proven track record in leadership reflects his dedication to enhancing the lives of all Ghanaians.

“Bawumia is always thinking outside the box, and I think that is the kind of leadership we need as young people. We need somebody who will leapfrog Ghana’s development. We need somebody who can look beyond where we are and say, ‘Look, we can do better and we can do it in a faster way to get to where we are going,’” she emphasized.
