The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of New Juaben South in the Eastern Region, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi has said that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has demonstrated his readiness to take Ghana to the next level if elected as president.

Appaw-Gyasi highlighted that Dr. Bawumia has unveiled numerous initiatives which will benefit the entire country regardless of political affiliations.

He specifically cited Dr. Bawumia’s proposal to train 1 million youth in FinTech, equipping them with technological knowledge to compete globally. He expressed disappointment that this initiative has been criticized by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), drawing parallels with their initial opposition to the introduction of the Ghana Card, which has since proven beneficial.

Appaw-Gyasi emphasized that the NDC’s decision to select John Dramani Mahama as their flagbearer was a mistake, as he lacks the vision and initiative. He urged Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Bawumia, who is better prepared to implement the policies outlined in the NPP’s manifesto, which will drive progress and development in the country.
