The Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has called for strengthened peace, unity, and social cohesion among Ghanaians, stressing that harmony remains essential for national and global development.
The call was made during an Iftar gathering she hosted for the leadership and members of the Muslim community in her constituency, in collaboration with the Municipal Chief Executive, Alfred Allotey-Gaisie.
Addressing attendees, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings underscored the importance of peace and security, particularly at a time of rising unrest across different parts of the world.
She highlighted growing concerns over the erosion of international law, humanitarian principles, and national sovereignty, noting that such developments make the pursuit of unity and stability even more urgent.
She urged Ghanaians to look out for one another and embrace a shared sense of belonging, emphasizing that the country must serve as a model of coexistence among people of diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings further encouraged continuous prayers for peace, describing it as the only pathway to achieving sustainable development not only in Ghana but across Africa and the wider world.
