Head coach for Ghana Premier League(GPL) side Dreams FC, coach Karim Zito, has charged his players to remain focused on the rest of their Premier League matches to be played despite qualifying for the final of the ongoing 2022/23 MTN FA Cup final.

Dreams FC secured a place in the final of the MTN FA Cup after edging Skyy FC 2-1 in an epic semi-final encounter at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

However, in the Premier League, Dreams FC has struggled to keep up and is relegation threatened.

The ‘Still Believe’ lads are currently 14th on the domestic top flight with 38 points after 30 matches into the season.

Speaking in an interview with Happy FM, coach Zito expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to avoid relegation, despite the challenges they have faced throughout the season. He also noted that the team’s recent qualification to the finals of the FA Cup has been a positive development for the club.

“Our journey in the FA Cup hasn’t been easy. We fought for it, set a target, and achieved it. There are lots of matches to play as compared to the FA Cup and we have proved a point and approached the competition very well. Escaping relegation is normal and I will do it, Isha Allah,” he told Ohene Bampoe Brenya on Hapy Sports.

Despite the team’s focus on the upcoming FA Cup final, Deams FC will be looking to amass maximum points in their remaining league matches, including the upcoming game against Berekum Chelsea.
