Member of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Communications Team, Kwaku Boateng, claims the newly elected Eastern Regional executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have strategized to ensure the party does not retain power come 2024.

According to him, these executives say the party has lost its values and is now focused on making money through dubious means at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian, hence their decision.

He disclosed they (NPP executives) believe the fallow period for the party will see it regaining its sanity, using the opportunity to restructure.

“I congratulate all newly elected executives of the NPP in the Eastern Region. These executives do not even believe in the ‘break the 8 campaigns. They believe the party is now filled with people who chase after money and that is against the party’s principles. They want the party to go into opposition and restructure it,” he told Don Kwabena Prah on Happy98.9FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ political show.

The 2020 National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Kade Constituency claims the newly elected executives made their plan known at a conference they organized, which he was present.

With the objective to secure the future of their children, the politician disclosed, “The newly elected executives do not want to destroy the future of their children and the party, hence their decision to make sure the party.

The NPP after securing victory in the 2020 Presidential election have been looking forward to winning the 2024 election as well.

However, since the inception of the Fourth Republic, no political party has exceeded two tenures in office.

The ruling party, nonetheless, are determined to be the first party to achieve such an objective, as such the mantra ‘Breaking the 8’.
