It was a sight to behold at eTV Ghana’s Made In Ghana Celebrities Cooking competition when celebrities raced against the clock to cook sumptuous Ghanaian three-course meals.

The eventual winners of the celebrity cooking competition, Selly Galley and Belinda Dzattah who nicknamed their team ‘SelBel’ stunned patrons and judges with their Akpele and Okro soup for their main dish and a mouth-watering peppered snails as starter their dessert, a Ghanaian peanut and sugar snack called ‘Nkatie Cake.

Feli Nuna and DJ Advicer with Pinor 

The first runners up Feli Nuna and DJ Advicer prepared a one-pot dish ‘Pinor’ from Volta Region of Ghana popularly known as ‘gari Jollof’ as their main meal. Their starter was goat light soup and their sweet dish was ‘Atadwe Milk’ a Ghanaian pudding made with tiger nuts.

Vicky Zugah and Mercy Bee blend two regions to place third 

Vicky Zugah a popular actress paired with Mercy Bee a producer at Happy FM and the two decided to choose staples from two Regions of Ghana ‘Etew’ from the Central Region ‘B)bi tardi’ a delicacy from the Volta Region. The combination worked because the pair placed third, their starter was ‘kelewele’ and sweet banana and pawpaw smoothie was their dessert.

The team that placed fourth prepared the very addictive ‘Kosua ne Mako’ boiled egg and pepper dip which many people have enjoyed but never knew could pass for a starter in a three-course meal. The eye-opening duo Abena Ruthy a gospel musician and an aspiring MUSIGA Executive and Akosua Hanson host of Y Lounge YFM also prepared fufu and light soup with carrots as their main meal and a fruit salad made with assorted fruits.

Team Xanus failed to impress the judges

Xandy Kamel an actress and Foster Romanus a comedian and host of ‘Late Nite Celebrity’ show banded together to prepare a local delicacy, Yam and Garden Eggs Stew. This southern dish is enjoyed by all in Ghana and even beyond. The ‘Xanus’ pair put their hearts and soul into the meal as this was evident from the approvals on the faces of both judges and fans when they tasted it. The fruit salad was a great starter for the meal and the two treated judges and fans with the medicinal ‘Sobolo’ as their dessert.

Ephraim and Eyram ‘chop’ last.

Ephraim and Eyram also whet the appetite of their teeming fans with Kokli a corn dough porridge enjoyed by people from the Volta Region. Their main dish was Banku and Okro stew. The pair also prepared Tapioca Pudding as dessert.
