The Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development and the former minister for information, Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid has expressed that even though the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will win the 2020 election, members of the party must intensify their efforts to spread the message of the Government’s good work to all Ghanaians.

He made these statements at the party’s press conference held at the Alisa Hotel.

“Ladies and gentlemen of the media, we are ready for December 7th. We are winning and we must win. I call on NPP people around the country to stay focused on the message. We have done a lot. We continue to make the point that no Government in the Fourth Republic in its first term has done the volume of work that the NPP has done. The Ghanaian people know and they will show it on December 7th and NDC knows it too”.

Contrasting the NPP’s campaign efforts to that of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NPP), he noted that the NDC’s campaign has gone down the drain. “The NDC’s campaign has gone down the drain. They have started throwing in doctored videos all in a vain attempt to throw dust in the eyes of the Ghanaian people. Dead campaigns are revived on strategies anchored on good messages”, He stated.

On the other hand, he believes the NPP has been selling its message to Ghanaians through key members of the party as well as the numerous press conferences it conducts.

Mustapha Hamid was of the view that Ghanaians no longer have a short memory as the NDC believe. And as such, Ghanaians will remember the hardships they went through under the NDC administration as against the many policies they have enjoyed under the NPP.

On December, 7th, 2020, Ghanaians will be going to the polls to elect a President and members of parliament to steer the affairs of the country.
