The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Divine Otoo Agorhom, is confident that his party will secure at least 21 out of 34 parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra Region.

In an interview with a radio station as monitored by Happy Kase3bor, the Greater Regional Chairman of the NPP, Divine, assured that this goal is backed by strategic plans to reclaim seats lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections.

In the 2016 elections, the NPP won 21 seats, representing 61.76% of the total, while the NDC secured 13 seats, accounting for 38.24%. However, the 2020 elections saw a shift, with the NPP winning 14 seats (41.18%) and the NDC taking 20 seats (58.82%).

Divine Otoo Agorhom is optimistic about reclaiming lost ground, citing targeted efforts to win back seats previously held by the NPP in 2016. The party’s ambitions don’t stop there, they’re aiming to increase their parliamentary seats. With a clear plan in place, the NPP is gearing up for a strong showing in the upcoming elections.
