A Programs Manager at CDD-Ghana, Vera Abena Addo, has emphasized that election is not about violence but a choice.
She urged Ghanaians to reject political intimidation and embrace the democratic process as a peaceful expression of will.
According to Miss Addo, civic education must be prioritized to help citizens understand that their vote is their voice not a weapon, but a tool for shaping the future.
She also touched on the role of institutions and civil society in safeguarding electoral integrity, noting that when people are informed and empowered, democracy flourishes.
“Peaceful participation is the bedrock of credible elections”, she stated during an interview with Bismark Brown on EPA HO A DABEN on Happy 98.9 FM.
