The Ghana Air Force and the Military High Command has presented GHS 315,000 to the families of the three flight crew who tragically lost their lives in the recent military aircraft crash.
The presentation followed the state burial held on August 15, 2025, where the nation paid its final respects to the fallen servicemen.
According to the Air Force, the donations were mobilized from well-wishers, corporate organizations, and individuals who offered support to the bereaved families during the period. Military officials noted that additional contributions are expected in the coming days.
Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. General William Agyapong, expressed his condolences to the families and assured them of the government’s continued support.
He explained that beyond the current assistance provided at the national level, the government was planning a more comprehensive package for all affected individuals.
Lt. General Agyapong further emphasized the importance of creating a Child Care Support Fund to safeguard the welfare of dependents of fallen personnel.
He questioned what would become of children in the event of such tragedies and stressed the need for the institution to consider establishing a fund to cater for them when their parents are exposed to danger in the line of duty.
