The family of the girl assaulted by a group of girls readily known and video on Facebook are seeking justice for their assaulted innocent daughter.
Yesterday a video went viral on all social media platforms with several girls assaulting an innocent girl by name Akosua Sika for attempting to snatch a boyfriend.
‘ The lady in assaulting the innocent girl shouted do you know he is my boyfriend, do you know he is my boyfriend’ she was seen shouting in the viral video.
Akosua sika who suffered hefty blows from her assailants was left dumbfounded when the lady believed to be the estranged girlfriend of the  boy she went visiting.
The girls threw caution to wind and  heavily assaulted the girl tearing her clothes and videoing it the process.
The mother of the assaulted girl in the viral video Madam Olivia Adzogbla speaking on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM made the appeal for the matter to be dealt with according to the law.
According to her, the matter has been reported to the Achimota Police and they are hoping all culprits involved will be brought to book.
She explained that her daughter who had just completed Senior Secondary school was at the said venue to visit the friend who is the boyfriend of the estranged lady he had recently met on Facebook.
She said the act seems to have been planned as the people in the compound house refused to come to the aid of the little girl when the group of women pounced on her.
She said there was nothing amorous on going between her daughter and the said gentlemen the lady who assaulted Sika claims to be her boyfriend.
She said this clear case of assault and must be handled as such adding that matter must be made to travel the full hall of justice.
In a related development, celebrity lawyer Maurice Apau said it is a criminal offence to attack a boyfriend or girlfriend because ‘you saw him or her with another girl or boy.
According to him, nobody has that right to assault a fellow because he or she was seen in another person’s company.
He said what transpired between the girls was a clear case of assault and must be handled as such.
He appealed to the family to make the case a criminal one to serve as deterrent to others who think in the same line.
