Even though history has mentioned  Okomfo Anokye as the dreaded fetish priest from the Eastern Region who helped built the Ashanti kingdom’s heritage, maverick politician of the National Democratic Congress from the Central Region is giving a different accounts of what transpired in history.
The Central Regional Chairman of the main opposition NDC has expressed his amazement at the strange things attributed to be the doings of the dreaded fetish priest Okomfo Anokye in the Ashanti Region adding that it was only scientist who can achieve that feat .
According to Allotey –Jacobs, he does not believed the man was a priest as Ghanaians have been made to believe, am inclined he was a scientist that made discoveries for the Asante Kingdom.
The kind of things the man did in the Ashanti Region was amazing and beats imaginations.
I don’t believe that man was a priest as we have been made to believe by our forebear.
What sort of fetish was Okomfo Anokye to have commandeered the golden stool from the sky?
The late missing priest was a flying success who made the Ashanti kingdom a powerful one in the midst of all others in the day of the Gold Coast.
According to him, some of the things Okomfo Anokye did only scientific analysis can be used to analyze the things he did.
Mr. Allotey –Jacobs made this revelation on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
‘You sometimes ask yourself what kind of human being can do all these strange things; he must be a scientist to undertake these amazing things’ he said.
‘These olden days scientists are the latter days magicians we see in recent times that we see everywhere adding that for a man to plunge a sword into the ground and for hundred years and over one is able to pull it out is amazing” he said.
In the early days, all those who did all those amazing things with the construction of the pyramids in Egypt among others were extra ordinary people.
