The Deputy Director of the Museums and Monuments Board has given a new twist to ongoing impeachment process brought against the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei and her two deputies.
According Kingsley Ofosu Ntimoah, no matter whom the NPP appoints as the EC boss it will win the 2020 elections come what may.
He said it’s a done deal the NPP will win the next elections going by the achievements of the party in last eleven months.
So it is a non-starter for the elements in the opposition National Democratic Congress to assume that the EC chairperson is being haunted out of office because the NPP wants to scheme to win the next elections.
He said what is happening with the EC boss and her two deputies is matter of law and it must be dealt with as such.
Mr. Kingsley Ofosu Nitimoah who is also a member of the NPP communications team refuted the claims  by the opposition NDC elements that the NPP’s attempt to impeach the EC boss and two her deputies was to pack the EC chair position with their favourites to enable it win the 2020 elections.
He made this claims on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben‘ show hosted Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on  Accra-based Happy FM.
”Am telling you that whoever the governing NPP appoints as the next EC it will win the 2020 elections.
We went into the 2016 elections not being the favourites of the EC boss but we manage to beat the NDC which was the darling boy of the EC boss. he posited.
He explained that what is happening with the Chief Justice’s committee over the EC boss and her two deputies are Constitutional demands that has nothing to do with the NPP.
Nobody can blame the NPP for being behind the woes of the EC boss and her deputies he said.
