The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has announced that a technical fault caused by fire has resulted in a power supply interruption affecting residents of Akwatia Township and its surrounding communities in the Eastern Region.
According to a statement from GRIDCo, a fire incident occurred at the Akwatia substation on Thursday, 30th May, 2024, at 20:00 hrs, resulting in the interruption of power supply to Akwatia Township, Oda, Kade, Asamankese, and surrounding towns.
“Our engineers are working quickly to resolve the fault and restore power supply as
quickly as possible. GRIDCo apologises for the inconveniences caused,” they stated.
