Former British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin has congratulated popular Ghanaian actor John Dumelo who won the just ended parliamentary primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
In a humorous tweet, Jon Benjamin wrote “ayekooo paaaa for your nomination, the first step on a long political journey to becoming Ghana’s President – some time around the year 20V8.”
Dumelo garnered 758 votes against Afua Adobea who had 94 votes.
